Where Can I Move In?

I move to New Jersey in less than two weeks! I’m excited, but extremely nervous too. I’m going to be sad about leaving behind so many friends and family. But I have to try. And I think I’m ready. I’m ready to do something different.

In order to get myself more excited about it, I decided to look at grad school programs and make a shortlist of schools to apply to.

I Know I Really Should Get Out of Bed

I noticed that I seem to be putting on weight, at least it seems that way to me. I’m more  on the average size, especially in my hips, but finally this year I was able to fit into size 8 jeans for the first time. Recently, my size 8s are seeming a little tight. This could just be because I’m not swimming like I was in summer.

So I’ve decided to try and eat better and expand my diet to more healthy foods.

Don’t Think You’ll Have to See My Face Again

Okay, maybe a lot of people won’t get this, but being a tifosi is a big part of my life. I started seriously watching Formula One racing in 2005, even moreso in 2006, but I always grew up with it being around, can remember glimpses of those beautiful red machines winning every weekend. But more than the sights, I remember the sounds. That is, the voices that brought my F1 broadcast each weekend.

And now, I won’t hear them again.

An Offering Of Ashes

Today is Ash Wednesday, which is the start of Lent for us Catholics. If you’re Orthodox, however, you already got started on Clean Monday, the idea of which I like better. On Clean Monday, those of the Orthodox faiths will clean the house and fly kites, which I believe is synonomus with cleaning the soul, to get ready for the resurection. Meanwhile, us Latins are smearing dirt on our foreheads.
